ACCENT AUDIO & VIDEO ANNOUNCES OWNERSHIP & NAME CHANGE
BONITA SPRINGS, FL - December 2006, — Accent Electronic Systems Integrators (formally Accent Audio and Video) has had the majority stock of the company acquired by Daniel J. Robbins of Naples, Fl. Accent ESI is a seven year old business located in Bonita Springs serving the tri-county area with technology construction services for residential and commercial installations of home theatres, whole house audio, video and lighting automation, and security surveillance systems that can be viewed from any where in the world.
In July, Daniel Robbins acquired the stock of Robbin Olson, one of the founders who moved on from the company. With (32) thirty-two years experience in new construction and remodeling, installation and service of electronic systems within commerical, academic, and industrial buildings, Robbins decided to acquire a majority interest in the company seeing a solid opportunity to develop the business into a statewide reseller of residential and commercial electronic systems as the company had established itself solidly in the tri-county area and was ripe for expansion. Accent ESI current ownership consists of Curt Rothenberg of Ft. Myers, Bryant Yunker of Naples, and Dan Robbins.
Robbins was founder and partner in the highly successful Pittsburgh high-tech start-up, Robbins Communications which became a multi-state operation with seven offices making the “INC Magazine” list of fastest-growing companies three years in a row back in the late 1980’s. The company was sold to one of America’s largest specialty contractors, JWP Inc. of Long Island, NY, in 1989. In 1997 Robbins was a founder and partner in the specialized technology company, The Comm Group, headquarterd in Pittsburgh, providing Life Safety Systems such as Fire Alarm and Security Access & CCTV, in combination with Structured Cabling, Network Electronics, Telephone and Intercom, and high-end Audio systems for stadium and auditoriums. In 2004 the company wa sold to ISR Solutions of Virginia, who later in 2005, sold the security systems integration company to Stanley Corp.
“Accent Eectronic Systems Integrators constitutes a new electronics systems design, integration and installation powerhouse”, according to Curt Rothenberg, a founder and VP of Marketing and Sales. “We are entering a number of very fast-growing markets,” Rothenberg said. “Computer networking, the design and installation of cabling systems and networks are very strong markets. The revolutionary growth of microprocessor controlled and networked access-control and closed-circuit TV security system, the rush to link every home and office in America to the Internet and the growth of audio & video media centers are also especially active,” he said.
“We see the new organization as a way to grow the company and reach markets we haven’t been able to reach before,” says Robbins. “Our strategy is to expand into integrated facilities systems within the residential and commercial/public markets, by expanding our product lines and our geographical reach.” Robbins as President will provide general management and strategic planning.
Accent, which increased revenues 25% over the past year, has survived the onslaught of multiple start ups over the past seven years by focusing on customer satisfaction and after the sale service, and by staying ahead of the technology curve delivering “state-of-the-art” systems such as Crestron Electronics of Rockleigh, NJ and Lutron Lighting Systems of Coopersburg, PA. “We see Accent ESI reaching the area of $5 million in sales withing its first full year of operation,” Rothenberg said, “And we see that doubling again in as little as three years.”
